Family Award as was Miguel Cuerva (not pictured) of Hometown Buffett, both for

|
Ready to start the day.
The heat seemed to melt the balloons, but our wonderful volunteer DJ, David
Barrios http://bbcband.tripod.com/index.htm kept the crowd lively despite the
heat. |
|
The picnic owes its' success to our members who planned, organized and worked,
to Orangewood Children's Foundation, to our many volunteers who manned booths,
painted nails, supervised games, and to the staff of Orange County Social
Services who made sure everyone was signed in and stood over a hot stove to cook
and serve hundreds and HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of hot dogs and
hamburgers..... |
|
and especially to those who come year after
year to enjoy the picnic! |

Sept. 23, 2004. Appreciation Dinner for Jerry and Joanne Noyes at Claim
Jumper Restaurant in Fountain Valley. The Auxiliary presented Jerry and
Joanne with a clock for their new mantel in Texas with a heartfelt engraving on
it and a Memory Book that Bonnie McInerny put together. It's hard to think
of the Auxiliary and its' Thrift Store without thinking of Jerry and Joanne. They are an integral part of the Auxiliary and the entire foster care
community...They will leave a giant hole with their departure. I'm sure we
will all flounder around trying to do what they have done...but because of them,
we will keep trying, because of them...WE KNOW IT CAN BE DONE!!! |

parking fees. We even had hula dancers! |

what she has lined up for the picnic! |

her when she left as the winner turned out to be her fellow NCL member Kathi
Vogal. Congratulations and thank you to all NCL members for supporting the

Templeton. A wonderful new quilt top has been donated by Sharon Hritz & Ginger
Fajack.to be quilted by me..check my web site where a picture will be posted on

spare change and help me with this project?
Also at the meeting we distributed the
tickets for the 2004 U.S. Olympics, Men's Finals for Gymnastics donated by

And although the seats were in the nosebleed section..the ushers kindly moved us
to unused seats that were only about 10 rows back from the action! |
|
Be sure to check your email regularly (and
make sure you are on our email list) as this is the
way we will let you know
when we have access to something special like this. Many times,
we have a very
limited time to distribute donated items for a particular date and email seems
the best way to 'get the word out' |
